Sierra Leonean singer, songwriter and producer, ApriilL releases a well thought Afrosounds song which he titled “O’Way”. The song which is also written and produced by the singer himself shows a mix of cultural and modern music with a taste of Sierra Leone Temne and Krio languages which brings back reminiscence to the minds of Sierra Leoneans.
“O’Way” is a song that admonishes women to feel comfortable to go for those that they love and introspect of marrying them. The singer calls the attention of a lady that he thinks can adapt into every difficult situation they might find themselves into to go close to him as he continues to give positive admirations to the lady.
ApriilL uses his skills to transform a long-standing local song to a modernized song that will keep reminding Sierra Leoneans. “O’Way” is a famous Temne song that Sierra Leoneans were using as a game especially at night to interact and have fun. The game was played between men in one end and women in another end. A woman will move to the men singing, clapping and dancing while going to select her partner. The game is repeated until each one select her partner.
Renovating this traditional song to a modernized song shows the raw talent of ApriilL originating from Law Music Records.
Fantastic. Combining Afro Beat with Themne genre.
By the way Themne is endowed with different but unique music genre, from Bubu to Bondo beats.
Wishing you the best of luck young man
