The Environment Protection Agency (EPA) Sierra Leone has announced the arrival of eight new Toyota Land Cruisers, procured through the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) as part of its Service Delivery approach.

The initiative reportedly aims to assist government institutions in managing and utilizing their resources more effectively and transparently.

The addition of those vehicles is expected to bolster the EPA’s regulatory functions. With enhanced mobility, as expressed by the management, the agency’s team will be better equipped to conduct thorough inspections and audits, ensuring the enforcement of sustainable practices throughout Sierra Leone.

In a statement from the agency, it was stated that the procurement reflects the commitment to internalize partnerships, engagements, and financing as essential components of the EPA Transformation Strategy (EPATS). The agency asserted that strengthening systems for organizational excellence is crucial for achieving its goals.

The EPA expressed its gratitude to UNDP Sierra Leone for their support, stating, “Our heartfelt appreciation goes to UNDP Sierra Leone. Together, we shall build a sustainable future for Sierra Leone.”
